DAY 7: July 7 — The Weight of Obedience

Scripture:
“And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.” — Luke 9:23 (KJV)

The Message:
Obedience is rarely light.

It often asks you to carry things your flesh would rather lay down.

To forgive when you were wounded.

To stay faithful when you feel empty.

To keep going when quitting would feel easier.

Jesus never hid the weight of discipleship.

He said take up your cross.

Daily.

That means some battles are not won once.

They are surrendered over and over.

Obedience is not always dramatic.

Often it is quiet.

Private.

Unseen.

But heaven sees every act of surrender.

And every cross carried in faith becomes part of the road God uses to shape you.

The Pathway Step:
Ask yourself: What act of obedience has God been asking of me that I have delayed?

Prayer:
Father, help me carry the cross You have placed before me. Give me strength to obey You even when it costs me comfort. Let my surrender bring You glory. In Jesus’ name—Amen.
