Every pathway has a destination.
This week we have walked together through seasons of perseverance, peace, testimony, and fellowship. Along the way we have discovered that God strengthens weary travelers, grants peace before His promises unfold, uses our faithful steps to encourage others, and places fellow believers beside us to help carry life’s burdens.
Yet the journey was never intended to end with us.
Every faithful step ultimately leads us into worship.
Long before we gather with God’s people on the Lord’s Day, He has already been preparing our hearts through the ordinary moments of the week. Each answered prayer, every trial endured, every act of obedience, and every lesson learned becomes another reason to praise the One who has faithfully walked beside us.
The psalmist did not simply rejoice because he arrived at the house of the Lord. His joy began the moment he heard the invitation:
“Let us go into the house of the LORD.”
That same invitation still echoes today.
As believers, we do not gather merely because it is our weekly routine. We gather because Christ is worthy of our worship. We gather to hear His Word proclaimed, to encourage one another, to lift our voices in praise, and to remember that we belong to the family of God.
Perhaps this week has been difficult. Maybe your pathway has included tears, unanswered questions, or heavy burdens. Do not allow those things to keep you from coming before the Lord. Bring them with you.
The Savior who strengthened you on the pathway is the same Savior who will meet you in worship.
As we prepare our hearts for tomorrow, let us come with gratitude, humility, and expectation, believing that God still speaks through His Word and still changes lives by His grace.

Read Psalm 122 slowly.
Thank God for one specific way He has been faithful to you this week.
Pray for your pastor, your church family, and every person who will hear God’s Word tomorrow. Ask the Lord to prepare your heart not merely to attend worship, but to truly meet with Him.
Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for walking beside me every step of this week. Thank You for Your strength when I was weary, Your peace when I was anxious, Your faithfulness when I could not see the way ahead, and for the brothers and sisters You have placed along my pathway.
Prepare my heart now for worship. Remove every distraction that would keep me from hearing Your voice. Fill me with gratitude, humility, and joyful expectation as I gather with Your people.
May tomorrow bring glory to Jesus Christ alone, and may my heart be ready to receive whatever You desire to teach me.

Looking Ahead
Tomorrow we will gather for our Sunday sermon as we look back upon this week’s journey and discover that through every trial, every burden, every unanswered prayer, and every faithful step, Christ has been walking with us all along.

Come expecting His presence.
Come ready to hear His Word.
Come with a thankful heart.
The pathway always leads us back to Christ, and there is no greater destination than walking with Him.
