Scripture:
“Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,” — Philippians 3:13 (KJV)
The Message:
Moving forward always requires leaving something behind.
Sometimes it is pain.
Sometimes regret.
Sometimes disappointment.
Sometimes old identities that no longer fit the person God is shaping.
Paul understood this deeply. He had a past full of mistakes and victories, but he knew neither could control his future.
God cannot lead you forward if you are chained to yesterday.
You must loosen your grip.
Not because the past did not matter.
But because it cannot be your dwelling place.
The road ahead requires open hands.
The Pathway Step:
Name one thing from your past that you need to surrender so you can move freely into what God has next.
Prayer:
Lord, help me release what is behind me. Heal what still hurts, forgive what still haunts me, and free me from carrying what You never meant for me to keep. I trust You with what’s ahead. Amen.
